Perth Tiling Service

Sebastian Otley Tiling & Stone are a highly experienced Perth tiling service.  We are fully accredited and use only superior adhesive products and the highest quality tiles & substrates. We also provide an all round service to our clients, including removing their existing tiles, and disposing of them for you.

Installation of your tiles is key to their longevity. With many factors to be considered having Perth’s tiling experts assisting you through your home renovation process, gives a peace of mind and creates the best results. Porcelain tiles have less porosity than ceramic tiles and need a C2 S1 adhesive to stick properly, same with glass tiles. Stones substrates are different again, we always use a C2 S2, especially with white marble. White marble needs a white glue otherwise you will see the glue through the tile when it dries. Sebastian Otley Tiling & Stone add screed to all our floors where possible to have a seamless, flat finish. This is especially important with gloss tiles as the end result is like a mirror. Large format tiles require very flat walls and floors to have the prefect end result. This can only be achieved with tilers who can render and screed properly.

The adhesive regulations change with tiles and substrates, however a C1 S1 adhesive is suitable with most substrates and ceramic tiles, we know exactly what to use to avoid drummy tiles or tiles lifting over time. This is especially important with porcelain, glass and stone.

We choose to use superior adhesives for peace of mind and to ensure all our work lasts forever. This is most important to us. When considering your bathroom renovation waterproofing is so important. We use puddle flanges to ensure a perfectly water tight shower. Sebastian Otley Tiling & Stone use a commercial grade, fibre reinforced waterproofing on all of our jobs to ensure they are leak free forever. We have never had a water leak! Being Perth’s tiling professionals means no lipping between tiles and MINIMAL grout joints. Minimal grout joins not only looks better but means less space for dirt and bacteria and less cleaning/maintenance required.

Ceramic & Porcelain Tiling

Porcelain tiles have a classic style and are extremely durable and versatile. They can be used for both floor and walls. Porcelain tiles have a lower absorption rate and all glazed tiles have a PEI rating, which rates the resistance of the glazed surface in regard to chipping and scratching.
Ceramic tiles have an incredibly unique history spanning thousands of years. They are tough and known for their flexibility. Like porcelain, they can be used on both floors and walls. Ceramic tiles are made from a various range of clays and minerals like zircon and bentonite giving each tile a finish that forms a unique part of any home décor. Matt, satin and gloss tiles are classic finishes.

Glass Mosaics

Glass mosaic tiles are a work of decorative art creating a unique designer feel. This type of tile can be used in various ways throughout your bathroom. From a feature wall or splash back to a complete floor, wall & ceiling finish. The array of colours sizes and shapes available gives the flexibility to create a one of a kind spaces that exude opulence.

Marble & Travertine Tiling

Marble tiles are the ultimate in timeless luxury while still creating a unique feel. Marble is a stone that plays with light, offering a sleek spacious feel to any bathroom renovation. Whether used from floor to ceiling or sparingly, marble will always make a statement.

Travertine tiles are limitless, a warm earthy stone tile that brings a sense of the outside in. Travertine tiles have been used in Italian homes for centuries and are a popular choice of stone in Australian homes. Durable and versatile for both walls and flooring a great way to create a unique open shower, or a covering for an oddly shaped space. Travertine comes in a selection of finishes and we can facilitate the use of various finishing’s in your bathroom to bounce and absorb light, leaving you with a space you won’t want to leave. Another advantage to travertine tiles is the production requires minimal chemical use making it one of the most environmentally friendly stones to use within your home.

Seb recently completed floor to ceiling tiling in my bathroom renovation and I couldn’t be more delighted with the result. His creative input and keen eye for detail was integral in creating a space that is as beautiful as it is functional. My Dad, a seasoned DIY renovator, was extremely impressed with the
quality of Seb’s craftsmanship and the pride he took in his work.
Friendly, punctual and super tidy, it was a pleasure to have Seb in my home and I would have no hesitation in recommending him to friends and family.
Thanks again Seb for an awesome job, I wouldn’t consider using anyone else for my future tiling projects!

I highly recommend Sebastian Otley who is extremely efficient and reliable. His workmanship is impeccable and his attention to detail is second to none. He is neat and tidy and pleasant to work with.
